“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.” -Marcie Macari

As a seasoned and trained birth Doula, with 13 years of experience, I have supported numerous families in bringing new life into the world. I am deeply passionate about guiding families through the transformative journey of birth and postpartum recovery. As someone who has had six births of my own, I have a deep understanding of the physical and emotional needs of the birthing process and becoming a new mother and parent. As a Doula, I bring my knowledge of Childbirth education, Hypnobirthing methods, essential oils, and massage. My expertise in Postpartum supports includes Abhyanga (warm oil) massage, herbal bath blends, belly binding, herbal foot bath, newborn soothing techniques, breastfeeding support, sleep/co-sleep training, essential oils, and creating effective systems that support new families in adjusting to their new lives.

I am passionate about empowering families, and I am currently focused on supporting families as a Postpartum Doula, but also continue practicing as a birth Doula. I bring a nurturing presence and holistic approach, as well as being dedicated to helping new mothers achieve a peaceful birth and fulfilling postpartum experience.

Jen was my postpartum Doula for 6 weeks after giving birth & it was a great investment! She was flexible and able to accommodate changing schedules, great with communication not only about tasks I needed help with but also helping me navigate communication with family members helping out, and provided a complimentary at home massage from a professional for my last visit.  Jen did a variety of tasks for me and was willing to do whatever was helpful for that week's visit-laundry, trash, changing bed sheets, cooking, caring for the baby, and multiple self care activities for me as a recovering mama! It was so nice and I highly recommend her.

I loved my experience with Jen! She has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from years of experience, and it shows.  She gave my husband and I great care and attention throughout my pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.  Her Childbirth classes, provided in the comfort of our home, helped us gain confidence and feel more prepared for the entire process of welcoming our daughter into the world.  Her presence during labor and birth was reassuring, calming, and she had so Many recommendations, tips, and tricks that I wouldn't have ever thought of to help make my experience more smooth and comfortable.  Her help and expertise in the first few days postpartum was so helpful as well.  Most importantly, Jen was always responsive, caring, and respectful of our opinions and decisions throughout our entire journey.

We recently had our third baby and this was the first time having a postpartum Doula.  Because of Jen and her support, this was the best postpartum experience I have had, by far.  I wish I could go back in time and hire her for past births! Asking for help doesn't always come naturally to me, but Jen is just amazing-she is so receptive to what could help you.  She is an amazing cook and nourished me with the exact type of food a postpartum woman craves.  She played with my girls and had them helping too.  She'd pick up around the house and help me with the mound of laundry that came with having 3 kids.  And one of my favorite things was that she gave me self care and was just there to talk about it all-the emotions, the challenges everything. She's like a birth and mom guardian angel.  So so grateful for her.

Jen, with her boundless kindness and unwavering support, made my prenatal and postpartum journey an  absolute joy.  Her comforting presence and dedication to easing and concerns made all the difference during the birth and early days with my newborn.  From weekly home visits filled with treas to her soothing massages and expert advice on newborn care, Jen went above and beyond.  My husband and I are incredibly thankful for her calming presence and consider her not just a Doula, but a cherished friend for life.

Hiring Jen as my Postpartum Doula was one of the best choices I made after having my son! I wasn't sure if I really needed postpartum care since I have family nearby but there is nothing like being supported by a wonderful Doula.  Jen brought yummy healthy food for each of our visits.  She also had great advice on handling fussy newborns and dealing with all the postpartum aches and pains.  I loved our conversations-she helped me feel understood and less isolated during that changing postpartum period.  She really helped me tap into the joy of motherhood.  Our sessions were covered by my Carrot benefits at work.  It was so worth it! Thank you so much Jen.

Jen, the birthing lady, became much more to me than just the birthing lady, she became a dear friend. She is both knowledgeable and passionate about the entire birthing experience. She taught me new techniques to truly relax and enjoy my day of birth. She made herself available to me at any moment if I had questions before my birthing day. She made me feel confident and capable to have an unmediated birth. Even though I had given birth 3 other times, Jen opened my eyes to the beauty and sacredness of birth that I will always treasure for the birth of my fourth and final child.
